The Beginning

St. Aloysius Senior Secondary School is a day and boarding school with its roots deeply founded on Catholic principles as way back as 2nd February 1986. During the tireless service of Fr. Pere Bec, in the establishment of Nabbingo educational institutions, land was acquired and a structure that housed primary one and primary two set up in Kigwanya zone Nabbingo Wakiso District. This institution was named Pere Bec in memory of him.

At a later stage, the parish council under the guidance of the laity head (Sabakristu) due to the growing demand decided to convert this institution into a secondary school and so on the 2nd February, 1986 Pere Bec Secondary school officially opened . Being a catholic institution, it was vehemently argued that the school deserved a patron saint, and so on the 5th November 2009, the institution’s name turned to St. Aloysius Senior Secondary School registered under the Ministry of Education and Sports under registration number U0653.
